LEMONADE DAY - MAY 2017

Americana’s Lemonade Fest takes place this year on Saturday, May 6th from 11-4pm. Lemonade Fest happens on Lemonade Day, a day in Louisiana that is dedicated to fun family events where kids can learn how to be entrepreneurial.

Lemonade Day was brought to Louisiana in 2010 by entrepreneurs John Georges (CEO of Georges Enterprises) and Todd Graves (Founder, CEO, Fry Cook & Cashier of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers).  John and Todd both received their first taste of business by operating their own lemonade stand as kids.

Lemonade Day strives to empower kids to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – whether they want to be business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, or simply forward thinking citizens of tomorrow!

Americana values this day and gets involved by hosting Lemonade Fest for the Zachary community. Friends, families, and the Zachary, LA community are invited to enjoy live music, food, games and lots of lemonade at The Pointe at Americana in the Americana Development. Lemonade Fest will be from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, May 6, 2017. There is fun for all ages, and admission is free!

Rollins, Zachary and Copper Mill elementary students can register and pick up their lemonade stands at their prospective schools.  All other guests are welcome to register online at http://louisiana.lemonadeday.org/ and call Bonnie at 225.663.1814 to reserve their spot at Americana’s Lemonade Fest.

LEMONADE DAY LOUISIANA

Lemonade Day was brought to Louisiana in 2010 by entrepreneurs John Georges (CEO of Georges Enterprises) and Todd Graves (Founder, CEO, Fry Cook & Cashier of Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers).  John and Todd both received their first taste of business by operating their own lemonade stand as kids.

The foremost objective of Lemonade Day is to empower youth to take ownership of their lives and become productive members of society – the business leaders, social advocates, volunteers, and forward thinking citizens of tomorrow.

Each child that registers receives a backpack with an Entrepreneur Workbook that teaches them the 15 lessons of Lemonade Day including creating budgets, setting profit-making goals, serving customers, repaying investors, and giving back to the community. Along the way, they acquire skills in goal-setting, problem solving, and gain self-esteem critical for future success. They keep all the money they make and are encouraged to spend some, save some and share some.

Level Homes will be providing 50 Lemonade stands to the first 50 students who register for Lemonade Day at Americana!!
